Pre-tour Procedures
Meet with the guide and receive equipment, complete administrative tasks, get the latest information from the INGV vulcanology bulletin in Catania, and receive tickets. The quad excursion is ideal for those who want to discover the nature of Mount Etna while experiencing an off-road adventure. The entire itinerary is carried out on a quad, automatic and easy to drive, which can safely carry up to two people who will be responsible for their own vehicle.

Itinerary
During the trip, we will cross an eruptive fissure, driving our quads through long fields of lava and black volcanic sand, admiring explosive craters and discovering one of the many beauties of Mount Etna: a lava flow cave. We will then stop to visit typical constructions of the area, similar to the Sardinian nuraghes or the Apulian trulli. Continuing along the route, we will pass through the Etna broom forest, descend along lava flow channels, passing through lunar landscapes and “dagale,” wooded islands surrounded by petrified lava. We will cross a pine forest of Mount Etna, traveling along the bed of a dry stream, where the landscape is characterized by the alternation of lava and woods. We will then return to the starting point and finish the quad tour.
